The First Saturday in May is always a special day to The POP Shop, in Sandusky, OH. If you're looking for Things to do in Erie County, OH, this is the day you want to mark on your calendar. We gave away hundreds of Comics, that's right, it’s Free Comic Book Day (also known as National Comic Giveaway Day). This year we gave away almost 1000 comics to locals and people who traveled as far as Detroit, Cleveland, and Columbus. Others from Tiffin, Fremont, and Bellevue, as well as Vermillion, Lorain and Wellington traveled to grab a few Free Books. Take a look at our gallery, we hope to see you too next year.

The POP Shop celebrates the biggest event in comics every year in Sandusky! Fans of comic books, graphic novels, anime, tabletop games, and pop culture are invited to stop by for free comics, special sales, and family-friendly fun all day long. Guests were able to pick up free comic books all day long, most titles stayed in supply. Plus, everyone enjoyed exclusive discounts on back issue comics, graphic novels, Funko POPs, and clearance collectibles throughout the store. Whether you are a longtime collector or introducing a new reader to comics for the first time, The POP Shop’s Free Comic Book Day celebration is one of the top comic book events in Ohio.
