Palworld OCG: Legends Awaken & Sleeve Card Set Vol. 1

If there is one thing we love at The POP! Shop, it's seeing a massive video game phenomenon make the leap to the tabletop. The air hums with possibility and the energy a meta-disrupting underdog can bring. Bushiroad is doing all that with the Palworld Official Card Game, and the earned attention the video game garnered is now spreading across various hobby sites and TCG YouTube channels.

While the community is gearing up for the first set, Dawn of Palpagos, Bushiroad is already stoking the fires for the game's second major expansion: Legends Awaken. This set promises to expand on everything that makes the OCG such a unique adaptation of the hit open-world survival game.

Not Just Another Battler: Building Your Base

If you haven't been following the spoiler videos and gameplay breakdowns online, let's tell you here and now that the Palworld OCG doesn't just copy the standard card game formula. Bushiroad actually managed to translate the video game's survival and crafting mechanics into the card game.

You aren't just playing "Pal cards" to attack your opponent. You can equip them with gear cards, or even assign your Pals to work using structure cards. It's a strategic mind game where managing your base and laborers is just as important as the actual combat. In a short, improper sentence: this ain't no Pokemon TCG clone.

Building the Perfect Deck

The deck construction rules are already generating a lot of theory-crafting online. You get to choose up to two colors from Red, Blue, Green, and Purple to form your 50-card Main Deck, which you can supplement with Colorless cards that fit into any build. You also bring a separate deck of 10 "Soul Cards" to the table, adding another layer of strategy.

What’s Inside Legends Awaken?

Releasing just in time for Halloween, Legends Awaken is the second core booster pack for the game.

• The Pack: Each booster pack contains seven cards.

• The Pulls: The set features 100 normal card types (ranging from Common up to Double Rare), plus a stunning array of "parallel foil" versions for the collectors out there.

• The Mystery: Bushiroad is keeping the exact roster of new Pals under wraps, but the community is already speculating on which late-game bosses and fan-favorite Pals will make their debut.

Protect Your Deck: Sleeve & Card Set Vol. 1

Alongside the Legends Awaken booster boxes, Bushiroad is dropping the Sleeve & Card Set Vol. 1. This is an absolute must-have if you plan on playing locally.

• It includes 75 high-quality card sleeves to protect your deck.

• It comes bundled with ten exclusive cards (two copies each of five unique card types) that you'll only find in this specific set. Be on the lookout because some of these exclusive cards may even be randomly replaced with shiny parallel versions!
