Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution: Pitch Black Release at The POP! Shop

Are you afraid of the dark? Twinkling city lights and starry skies are about to be completely obscured as mystery and malice arrive at The POP! Shop. The highly anticipated Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Pitch Black expansion officially launches this summer, bringing some seriously sinister threats to the competitive metagame. With over 115 new cards, including highly sought-after Special Illustration Rares, this set is guaranteed to shake up the tournament scene.

As an authorized Play! Pokémon location, we are thrilled to participate in the official Early Release Program. This means you can purchase your booster packs, full Booster Boxes, and Elite Trainer Boxes starting Monday, July 13, 2026. This gives our local Sandusky players a massive four-day head start before the worldwide Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Pitch Black release on July 17.

Presumably you want to collect these new cards to upgrade your current Standard deck. However, don't forget our tables are for socialzing too and we want you to crack packs with your fellow Trainers. We will have plenty of options on the shelves for you. Because we do not take pre-orders, your best bet to secure these items is to visit the store in person.

• Build & Battle Boxes: While these are heavily featured during our prerelease events, any remaining stock will officially hit our retail shelves on July 31.

You can trade in your vintage holos or unused pulls to get the exact singles you need for your new Mega Darkrai ex strategy.
