Free Comic Book Day 2026 Celebration

Welcome to the biggest holiday in pop culture! On Saturday, May 2, The POP! Shop is hosting our massive 25th annual celebration of the comic book medium. Be you a lifelong collector, or a brand new reader, this event is meant for you.

Two Names, One Massive Celebration

Due to distribution changes, the industry has split this year's event into two parallel celebrations: Free Comic Book Day and Comics Giveaway Day. What does this mean for you? Absolutely nothing but more incredible free books! We are united in our goal to bring you the best stories from every publisher, meaning you can grab titles from Marvel, DC Comics, Image, Dark Horse, and more.

To help parents navigate the tables, publishers have provided a handy color-coded logo system on the front covers. A green logo means the book is All-Ages, while a red logo indicates Mature content for adults only. Teen books will feature a blue or orange-outlined logo.

The Rules and The Festivities

The rules for the day are simple: every person who attends can pick out up to 4 free comic books per person! Addditional comics can be picked up per $20 spent in-store.

Doors open at 10:00 AM sharp. The free books are strictly first-come, first-served, so arrive early and prepare to celebrate with your fellow modern myth enjoyers!
