What’s poppin', Commander players?

After listening to your feedback and watching the meta evolve at our tables, we are officially locking in a new monthly staple at The POP! Shop. If you are looking for a highly interactive, balanced, and competitive-but-fair Magic: The Gathering experience in the greater Sandusky area, this is your event.

The Format: What is Bracket 3?

Bracket 3 is all about curating a specific power level so everyone at the table actually gets to play the game. To keep the meta healthy and the games engaging, your deck must adhere to standard EDH rules, plus the following Bracket 3 stipulations:

• No Banned Cards & No Proxies: Bring your genuine, legal cardboard.

• Rule of 3: No more than 3 "Game Changers" per deck.

• No Mass Land Denial: Keep the game moving; we want to play our cards!

• Pacing: You cannot win the game via a combo before the 7th round (turn) of the game.

Tournament Structure & Scoring

We want to make sure games reach a satisfying conclusion without holding up the whole bracket.

• Rounds: There will be three 80-minute rounds. Once time is called, tables will have an extra 10 minutes to finish the current turn rotation or accept a draw.

• Points: A Win secures you 5 points. A Draw gets you 1 point. A Loss is 0 points.

• Decklists: All players must submit their decklists through Moxfield prior to the event.
